WHAT IS THE UK RIGHT 2 RENT REGISTER?
We are a social enterprise providing both:
  • A free-to-use voluntary UK tenant registration scheme
  • Additional tenant and landlord services.
Our primary aim is to identify and assist genuine prospecting tenants affected by housing discrimination, to highlight themselves from others to UK private landlords.
UK renters identified most affected:
  • British low-income 
  • Ethnic minorities 
  • Young persons
  • Disabled individuals  
WHY IS HOUSING DISCRIMINATION RISING?
Current rising housing discrimination trends can be in part attributed to:
  • Rises in the use of false documents being presented to private landlords as right to rent evidence. 
  • Perceived higher risk of rogue tenant encounters associated with renters from the above demographics.
  • Additional costs involved in making properties suitable for disabled renters. 
  • The failure of current government online checking facilities to ease landlord prosecution fears.


                                                                                                               
HOW DOES IT WORK? 

UKR2R invites genuine prospective tenants to register and create in advance a user-only access tenant profile, containing evidence of ID, right to rent and other referencing info, elevating themselves to the unique position of being able to:
  • Highlight themselves from others to UK private landlords by being able to invite their potential landlords to preview their profile info. 
  • Facilitate a request from a potential landlord to view  their profile info.
  • Access other UKR2R tenant services including available properties to rent.

A provable lettings history record counts, particularly to private landlords who self-source their tenants. Information held enables potential landlords to do their own due diligence checks, communicating directly with previous landlords, current employers and tenant guarantors for themselves, this in turn is helping concerned landlords to rent with more confidence to individuals from within affected tenant demographics.

Profile data is updatable, enabling tenant-users to maintain an ongoing CV-styled record of their UK lettings history footprint, beneficial to both themselves and future landlords.
